An Introduction to the Trainees at Seddons

20th May 2008 by: Caroline Essex – final seat, qualifies Sept 2008
Write a trainee blog, they said. It’ll be easy, they said. Well, several brainstorming sessions, meetings, committees and sub-committees later, with all the tears and recriminations safely behind us, here we are, welcoming you to the first Seddons Trainee Blog. I am currently the only second year trainee here, my fellow ‘class of 2008’ trainee having qualified early and left me for the heady heights of life as an NQ. I feel that I am shouldering the responsibility of being the (self-appointed) senior trainee well, and as such find myself responsible for the content of this, our welcoming blog. I joined Seddons in 2006, having taken the long route through uni of completing an English degree (and a couple of years at the university of life) before deciding that law was for me, and will qualify in September 2008. I have completed three of the four seats offered at Seddons (Litigation, Property, Private Client & Employment) and am currently in my final seat in the Corporate Commercial department. There are also three first year trainees, who are currently practicing their skills in blog writing delegation but who will each be contributing to the blog and introducing themselves in due course. Until then, all we can do is wait in excited anticipation…
