Key cases
Advising Woolworths plc from 1997 to 2008 in connection with their entire property portfolio, including: the acquisition of numerous new stores; disposals; lease renewals; lease re-gears; development agreements connected with CPO’s. In 2008, Claire dealt with the disposal of three London stores to Waitrose and three to H&M, in the case of the latter with completion taking place post-administration.
Advising Avery Healthcare Limited, a major developer/operator of residential care homes for the elderly, on the acquisition and funding of a portfolio of newly developed care homes in the north east in 2006 and the subsequent disposal 18 months later to Southern Cross;
Acting for a plc property company on the sale of a landmark central London multi – let building for £112 million;
Acquiring six out of town DIY stores for a plc property company;
Dealing with the property aspects of the sale in 2008 of a care home provider which included 10 care homes/private hospitals.
