Clive Robertson heads the Education Law Unit at Seddons.
Listed as an expert education solicitor in “Legal Experts 2006” published by Legal Business, Clive has worked extensively with universities and colleges of further and higher education including the drafting of new university constitutions, terms of mergers between universities and colleges, grants of university title to college property and funding, planning, construction, joint ventures, student contracts and complaints for various educational institutions.
Clive has co-authored the “UK Higher Education Law Casebook” with Dr Dennis Farrington and was involved in the leading case of Nottingham University v. Dr Fischel concerning an action by the University against a head of department for breach of fiduciary duty.
Clive has extensive experience in property law and as well as being a member of the Oxford Centre for Higher Education Policy Studies and the Education Law Association, he is also Chairman to the Discipline Committee of the South West London Health Authority, having previously been a non-executive Director of Kingston and Richmond Health Authority for a number of years.
This year saw the publication by the Oxford University Press of The Law of Higher Education by Farrington & Palreyman. Clive worked as a Consulting Editor, having particular responsibility for the chapters dealing with Property and Estates.
