• A multi-million pound jurisdiction/forum dispute involving assets divided between London, Canada, Switzerland and the British Virgin Islands. Successfully argued on behalf of the wife that the English court had jurisdiction notwithstanding that she was normally resident in Canada and the husband had been resident in Switzerland for over 15 years. The case turned on the husband’s failure to demonstrate that he had properly relinquished his domicile of origin.
• A multi-million pound case involving numerous joint business interests and European assets. Marshalled the expertise of company lawyers, tax advisers and accountants to achieve a commercially sound solution to the division of business interests.
• Representation of a client seeking to realise his interest in the former matrimonial home some 17 years after separation. Secured an order for sale and 46% of the sale proceeds.
• A case involving a property portfolio of in excess of 40 properties which included an urgent application for a pre-emptive freezing order to prevent dissipation of assets.
• Assisted a father to locate his children and to re-establish contact where the mother had terminated contact, changed address and all contact details, removed children from their school, and tried to avoid service of proceedings.
