Marvin heads the dispute resolution department which is involved in the full range of commercial litigation disputes.
As well as being an experienced commercial litigator, Marvin has particular expertise in a number of areas.
These include:
Cross border litigation. In the last 5 years Marvin has represented clients litigating in France, Monaco, USA Belgium and Liechtenstein as well as advising foreign clients on disputes in the UK.
Insolvency disputes, Marvin has wide experience both in representing insolvency practitioners in complex disputes and in advising creditors of insolvent companies.
Marvin also has very considerable experience and expertise in defamation stress and bullying claims and clinical negligence claims as well as high value or complex personal injury claims.
A libel claim in which Marvin represented a Claimant who was the victim of an anonymous internet smear campaign and on whose behalf he successfully obtained substantial damages following a jury trial.
An insolvency claim in which Marvin represented an insolvency practitioner in successfully seeking to preserve the proceeds of an IVA from attack by a third party.
A stress / bullying claim in which Marvin obtained a substantial damages settlement for an overworked and bullied young solicitor.
A breach of trust claim in which Marvin successfully recovered damages on behalf of a client from a well known Liechtenstein lawyer who had allowed the aging trustee to abscond with the proceeds.
A Director’s disqualification claim in which Marvin enabled the disqualified client to obtain permission to continue to act as a company director of a large number of companies.
