Seddons, the Central London law firm that focuses on property, disputes, people and enterprise, is expanding its commercial team with the recruitment of Alexander Egerton as a senior associate. He joins the firm in August.

Alexander joins the firm from City firm, Picton Howell. Previously he worked at law firms in Surrey and Exeter. He qualified as a solicitor in 2000.

Whilst experienced in a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, Alexander has particular expertise in intellectual property law and employment law. He typically acts for fast growing technology businesses and recently advised on the sale by auction of a TMT company.

Alexander has a keen interest in US politics. During his gap year before university he was an intern in a senator’s office in Washington DC. He has also worked for a law practice in California.

Kyle Irvine, head of the commercial team said “Sandip Basu joined us just four months ago and the increase in work – whether as a result of transactions in our commercial property department or from our considerable base of small and medium sized enterprise clients – means that we have had to add further experienced staff."
