Welcome to Seddons

News

7th December 2009
Seddons is representing the 37 lessees of Chesterton Square and Broadwood Terrace who have made application to the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal to determine  whether service charges they are being asked to pay following a programme of major works, which included repair of windows and external redecoration are reasonable.  Lessees are being asked to pay up to £25,000 each for those works.
Some of the lessees were interviewed by ITV for London Today, ahead of the commencement of the hearing of the lessees application in the LVT.

Jane Canham of Seddons Propery Litigation team says " Our clients believe that the council have overcharged for works and they are asking an independent tribunal to decide what costs they ought to pay"

Leon Golstein Head of the Property Litigation team added  " We are seeing more and more cases of this type with lessees receiving demands of this magnitude"
