The Processing and Packaging Machinery Association (incorporating the British Automation & Robot Association, the UK Industrial Vision Association and the Polymer Machinery Manufacturers and Distributors Association)  - an alliance of trade associations representing over 400 UK Machinery and robot suppliers has invited Seddons to become a "Strategic Alliance Partner". This means that we will work with PPMA and its associated organisations to ensure that its members have access to immediate and commercial legal advice.

This new partnership will bring valuable specialist expertise to the Association member companies including:-

Corporate: Our commercial clients instruct us to assist them on all the legal aspects of their business such as drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and advising on regulatory issues. We also work closely with our clients in planning trade sales and other exit strategies.

Litigation: We have a top flight commercial litigation department which handles commercial and contractual disputes, ranging from debt recovery to product liability claims. We are also able to offer our litigation clients an insurance scheme which covers the risk of having to pay the other side’s legal costs.

Intellectual Property Rights: this department assists clients in identifying, protecting and exploiting intellectual property rights. We are accustomed to taking High Court proceedings to protect our clients' rights.

Chris Buxton, CEO of PPMA, enthuses: “Seddons is well placed to provide expertise upon which our members can rely.”

Robin Austin, Managing Partner of Seddons, comments: “We are delighted to be able to use our know-how to assist members in growing their businesses and hope to be a valued business partner to the PPMA membership.”
Contacting Seddons

PPMA recommend that its members arrange an informal meeting with Seddons for an assessment of their business's potential needs and requirements. Sometimes we all need to have the benefit of impartial, objective advice.

PPMA's primary contact at Seddons is Alexander Egerton who is a partner in Seddons’ Corporate Department.

Seddons are PPMA's preferred supplier of legal services.
