Copyright might subsist in photos for years, but in reality are rights lost on clicking upload asks Simon Jacobs and Jemima Faircloth of Seddons solicitors.

Millions of photographs are uploaded onto the internet every day.  Commercial photographers excepted, many will not give their rights in such photos a second thought.  However, the growth of the web and the ease with which images can be distributed has caused disputes, and may well continue to do so.
