Civil partnerships
Same sex couples have been able to enter into a Civil Partnership since December 2005, and many couples are now choosing to show their commitment to each other in this way.
Same sex couples can protect themselves financially by entering into the equivalent of a prenuptial or postnuptial agreement. If there is no such agreement in place and the Civil Partnership irretrievably breaks down, we will advise you regarding the likely financial consequences as well as how the Civil Partnership itself is brought to an end.
If you have separated from your civil partner but aren't yet ready to begin dissolution proceedings (i.e.divorce proceedings), we will advise regarding protecting you financially until such proceedings begin.
