Seddons’ property team is amongst the largest in the practice with seven partners, seven further lawyers and seven other staff involved in both commercial and residential property.
The commercial property team acts for a wide range of clients but notably small and medium sized developers in residential developments, private investors in commercial property and operators in leisure, restaurant and pub businesses with an interest in licensing.
The residential property team manages over 1,500 property transactions each year – mostly at the top end of the market in Central London and the Home Counties. The team acts for a large number of international investors – particularly those from Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East - in London properties. Recently it produced a guide in Cyrillic for Russian investors in London.
Seddons also has a dedicated enfranchisement team advising both landlords and tenants, and lawyers who specialise in advising lenders on commercial property finance in the secured lending unit. There are also sector specialists in care homes, restaurants and pubs and the education sector.
