Victoria
Victoria is a Partner in the Family department at Seddons. She has practised exclusively in Family law since qualifying in 2009. Victoria advises a wide range of clients in relation to all the legal implications of a relationship breakdown with a focus on resolving the financial implications that flow from a separation and or divorce. Victoria also helps find solutions in a range of ways, not just via the Courts, for clients as regards arrangements for their children with a particular interest in proceedings relating to the relocation of children. Victoria also deals with pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements.
Victoria is a Legal 500 “Next Generation Lawyer” and “Recommended Lawyer,” and is praised for her “impeccable judgement,” and described as being “extremely supportive and thorough”. She is a member of Resolution and YRes and London Irish Lawyers Association.
In 2018, Victoria obtained a qualification as a Family Mediator, making her resolution qualified and registered with FMC.
- Representing a Father and successfully appealing periodical payments that had been ordered under the mother’s Schedule 1 Children Act 1989 application.
- Representing a Father and successfully defending a Mother’s application to return to her native Romania with the parties’ young child.
- Representing a Husband following separation and successfully achieving a financial settlement by way of voluntary negotiations and a round table meeting. The assets were in excess of £3million and included a significant complex pension element.
- Representing a Wife in a financial remedies application that involved assets in the UK and Australia with a disputed re-acquired and inherited element. Achieving a favourable outcome for the Wife at a final hearing and protected against the joining of third parties.
