Marvin Simons comments in The Times on the UK's litigation finance market.
Head of Disputes Resolution Marvin Simons has noticed a general trend of nervousness from litigation funders. Commenting in The Times regarding the dispute between Muddy Waters and Burford Capital, he says, “Funders are now more prone to withdraw from the market, including from portfolio partnerships. We were in discussions with a funder about portfolio funding, only to be told that as a result of Burford they are withdrawing from the market.”
